Crikey..... what a fab day we had at the seaside!!!
Although the heavens opened while we unloaded the car.... the sun shone for most of the day & we had lots of smiling customers coming through the door..... then the heavens opened again while we loaded... sod's law!!!
It was lovely to see all the other stall holders..... such a lovely bunch..... everyone is so friendly & happy to help each other.
Could have done better on the workshop front but hey oh...... I've learnt for next time.
I was chatting to a lady from a magazine who would like to do a feature on Make, Do and Mend & a man who might have some work for me so not all bad :)
I just had to treat myself to this lovely fella....
He was watching me all day.... I had promised myself I wouldn't spend any money this time but he's such a beauty!
So today I've been unpacking & planning my makes..... only 2 months to go until the next one!
Also the local shop has sold a few bits of mine so I need to keep on top of making :)
Have a good week..... fingers crossed for some sunshine!
Morning campers..... I don't normally do awards but as I haven't got anything to say apart from.... 'oh look at the rain'.. I thought I'd give it ago!

11 things about me
1. I love cats!.
2. I've been with my OH for 24 years, since I was 17!
3. I've been made redundant twice & I've only had 6 jobs!
4. I've been in love with the 1940's since I was a child.
5. I can be naughty!!!
6. I hate cooking!
7. I've been knitting since I was 4, I used to make my cats clothes!
8. I had a big scooter accident when I was 16 which ruined my back :(
9. I have weird music taste.... punk, ska through to Glenn Miller, depends on my mood!
10. I haven't been on holiday for 3 years :(
11. If I could go back in time it would be the 8th May 1945.... VE day!
1. If you could have been born in any era, which would it have been and why?
Easy.... the 1940's, as long as I was safe from the bombs! I would like to be about 10 at the end of the war so I could then enjoy the 1950's.
2. You're stuck on a desert island with 3 'celebs', who are they?
Stephen Fry, James Dean and Morrissey
3. What's your favourite colour?
4. Name 3 of your favourite blogs to read.
This is a tough one.... I read lots of blogs, some are so popular you don't get any comments back from the person & some which have hardly any readers but you can build a real friendship with that person. But if I have to choose 3 then it would be ... HenHouse - Hen was one of the first people to leave a comment on my blog. Tickety Boo Tupney - I haven't been reading long but I love the cheery feel to her blog At Home with Mel Mel - I met Mel on FB 5 years ago, we started speaking as we seem to have a lot in common. When my cat Charlie died 4 years ago it was her that suggested I started blogging & I haven't looked back! We've been through bad time & good times together :)
5. If money was no object and you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Finland to see the Northern Lights. I want to see them before I die!
6. What's your favourite thing in your home?
My bed!!! I love my bed & could sleep for England!
7. If you could have any skill/hobby what would it be and why?
Dressmaking.... I used to make my own clothes but they weren't very good. I would love to see a dress I like then just run it up on the machine :(
8. What is the best gig you've ever been to?
This is hard! I've been to so many, not your big well known gigs but I've followed my favourite bands for over 20 years. But I think it has to be The Alarm at La Scala in London in 2003. It was part of the VH1 bands reunited show, I was too young when The Alarm were big so this was my chance to see the original line up. It was guest list only & we only had about 2 days notice! The atmosphere was amazing.... I don't remember too much of the gig!!!
9. Daddy or chips?
mmm Daddy I guess.... you can always buy more chips but you can't replace your Daddy!
10. What do you have phobias of?
Big things!! Yep it sounds weird & most probably is but I saw the Mary Rose as a child & it freaked me out! I can't walk by big buildings, ships, planes with out having a little panic attack! It stops me doing things I want to do.... visit the Imperial War Musunm, Las Vegas, St Paul's to name a few.
11. If you could have any magical power for the day, what would it be and why?
Not sure about this one, I don't really do magical powers but I would like to feed all the staving people in the world..... it makes me really angry when you see staving children when we waste so much food. We should be ashamed of ourselves :(
I'm not going to pass this on.... told you I was naughty!!! If you fancy giving it ago feel free!!
